Policies
We are committed to providing you with the highest quality of care while ensuring a safe and respectful relationship with all of our patients. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with our policies which are designed to build consistency and protect your rights as a patient.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and there may be times when you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. To ensure fairness and respect for your time, our time, and the sustainability of our clinic, we have established the following cancellation policy:
48-Hour Notice
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we require at least 48 business hours’ notice.
Late Cancellations
Cancellations and rescheduled appointments with less than 48 business hours’ notice will be subject to a fee, which may be up to the full cost of the session and is not covered by insurance. This ensures that our providers’ time is respected and can be utilized effectively.
Missed Appointments
If you miss an appointment without any notice, you will be charged the full session fee, which is not covered by insurance. We prioritize your commitment to your mental health journey, and maintaining regular appointments is essential for your progress.
If you miss your first intake appointment, you will not be allowed to reschedule. We block 90 minutes for these appointments and most people wait weeks and occasionally months to be seen.
If you miss or late cancel two appointments during the course of treatment with us, we will warn you that a third occurrence will result in dismissal from the practice.
Reminders
Text and e-mail appointment reminders are a courtesy. We do not recommend solely relying on system-generated reminders to keep track of your appointments since patients sometimes turn off notifications and occasionally there are system glitches beyond our control when you may not receive an appointment reminder. The cancellation policy remains in effect whether or not you receive an appointment reminder.
Telehealth
If you are unable to check in for a video visit due to connectivity issues, this will be considered a missed appointment. We recommend giving yourself plenty of time to make sure you’re checked in for your video visit prior to the start time of your appointment.
